Preview The Rainy Dawg Birthday Festival

At KEXP, this month’s community partnership initiative non-profit of the Month is Rainy Dawg Radio, the University of Washington’s college radio station – which coincidentally and happily is also celebrating its 9th birthday. To properly toast this event, the entirely student-run station is throwing a three-night minifest with an impressive coach outlet bags, genre-spanning lineup. Beginning the night of April 10th, headliners include:

April 10th: Oneohtrix Point Never (with USF & Secret Colors and DJAO)

April 11th: The Thermals (with Guantanamo Baywatch and Neighbors)

April 12th: Brother Ali (with Nu Era and OCnotes)

The three nights of shows will be held at the Ethnic Cultural Theater on the UW Seattle campus. Tickets for the general public are available now at brownpapertickets.com and are sure to go fast, so grab at ‘em.

To learn more about UW’s student radio station check out the Rainy Dawg Radio site and blog (affectionately, the Rainy Blawg).

Don’t forget that each month Audioasis hosts a benefit show for the KEXP charity of the month at the Sunset Tavern in Ballard – the upcoming April 7th show includes a killer local lineup with all net proceeds to benefit Rainy Dawg Radio. Full lineup and ticketing info here.
