One of the biggest trends in stores and magazines this spring is the mixed print – stripes mixed with animals prints, paisley with polka dots, and other colorful blends. This week, Ruth La Ferla writes about how the outbreak of colors and patterns on New York’s streetssuggests a new buoyancy, as women shake off the constraints of a lingering recession.
